More than 1000 digital songs or more than 2,000 high-resolution pictures or up to 8 hours of MPEG 4 video can be stored on the SanDisk 4GB microSD High Capacity card."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Jerry-sandisk-4gbsdhc.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />This is good news for those of you who insist on using your Standard (gag) phones as music players. Now what I would like to see is fast microSD cards that I could slip into an SD adapter and in to a camera. I could then use my Standard or Professional device (I really choke on those terms) to view or even edit them a bit.

Let’s see if Microsoft keeps those terms. It’s going to be tough to take on RIM, which targets “mobile executives,” when Microsoft wants those same executives to be “standard.”

is it gonna be compatible whit current phones? It's not compatible with your phone unless your phone shows the new MicroSD HC logo. I don't think that any phones the on market today have the logo.

Hmmmmm ....

4 GB..... that's about.. ah.. 11 episodes of Battlestar Galactica in the typical format that evil, law-breaking content-pirates living in overseas markets where cable-companies don't offer the show, might download, if any such nefarious people actually exist.

*cough*

Solid state memory is just getting jaw-dropping cheap. We're at the point where we can literally carry around en entire season of a TV show on a couple of chips the size of a pinky fingernail. It just amazes me.

I feel so 2005 with my 512 MB micro-SD.
