Doubtful, they'll more likely save WM6 for the next clamshell phone they're designing.

I'll have to agree with AdamaDBrown...don't hold your breath. Carriers have very little incentive to support upgrades, the rumors about the T-Mobile Dash not withstanding. They pretty much give you the hardware in the first place, and they really aren't in the position to provide all the support that is typical with an OS upgrade. When carriers started stocking WM devices and the first OS update happened, there was some speculation and discussion whether they might not offer an OS upgrade with a contract extension. That would seem economically beneficial to them. To my knowledge no carrier has done that.
So, even if HTC offers an update to the StrTrk which would have to be who generates it, I don't have much hope that carriers will pass that along. It'll be iffy if you can grab a generic build and use it on the Cingular specific unit.
We'll see what T-Mobile does. It'll be interesting if they provide an update.

I already sold my 3125. I could just about guarantee there won't be an upgrade for it.
