It's now easy to listen to your MP3s and many other audio formats, wherever you are with your Wireless Bluetooth Headset. It's even easier to use BlueMusic together with Skype, or other VoIP software."</i><br /><br />While the concept seems pretty neat, I cannot imagine listening to music through my old mono Bluetooth headset. I think back to how hollow sounding my conversations were with the Motorola HS-850 and cringe at the thought of trying to enjoy listening to music that way. I guess I'm just spoiled by my stereo Bluetooth headset. ;)

This is just another instance where a company has decided to try to sell a product very similar to the original Windows Mobile 5.0 solution developed by
www.simplesmartphone.com called BlueCast. The name seems to be deceivingly similar too...hmmm. Get the original only at www.simplesmartphone.com/bluecast

Rocco as far as why this is useful... well you can stream podcasts to your mono bluetooth headset, but you can't drive in the car with stereo headphones, and chances are that most people don't have stereo headphones anyway so why not leverage you current investment in a bluetooth headset.

I just use BTAudio (http://surrealnetworks.com/mpx/SDA%20applications/BTaudio.cab). The price is right, but its not quite as slick looking as the two options above. (BTW that link sometimes dies, but I've seen it over at XDA and I think at Modaco too.)

I like it for podcasts and audio books and the like, but yeah it would be pretty bad for tunes.

Your link threw out a 404 page. Here is a link that will take you to the BlueCast product - http://simplesmartphone.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=5&amp;Itemid=6

I never thought about using it for Podcasts as that would be a lot more tolerable than listening to music. I myself use the 3.5mm Bluetooth adapter that came with my stereo Bluetooth headset to listen to my favorite Podcast in the car :)

I have not been able to get these to work with the Blackjack. Anyone have any luck with that?

The Blackjack does not support this feature in the phone because of the way the Bluetooth stack was implemented. It is the same reason why MS VoiceDial doesn't work and many other programs in the Blackjack that use Bluetooth. I heard Samsung was working on a firmware upgrade for this, but who really knows...
With that being said, we are working on trying to hack the Blackjack to allow streaming but we haven't figured it out yet. This will be included in Version 2.0 of BlueCast if we can figure it out.

It's not something new to me to see such cheap ads from small companies (almost starving how I like to call them). Instead of paying some $$$ for good publicity they are walking on forums imposing their products.
This would be fine, but they are so cheap that their only way is to blame other products, like only they would exist on this planet

Ok so this is one good enough reason, why I won't even try the BlueCast. The second reason is that it has a lame interface, but hey, one reason is already enough for me.

Ok so lucky for me this topic shows 3 solutions for my problem. BTAudio is nice, but it's kind difficult to use (I saw a couple of exe's there, tried to copy them on the device but don't know which to start, sorry  ) so I took the news title for a go.

Ok so now I'm using BlueMusic, and Yes, finally I can have that Tomtom sounds in my car's speakers. Pretty neat. I've disabled the today plugin, looks nice, but I'm only using the interface with the animation.

If anyone needs to know (compatibility stuff, etc 8O ), I have an Eten m600+.

I've tried the BlueMusic on my Qtek S200. Works nice, I'm using it to redirect the voice from my GPS too. Thanks for the news.

I agree with tkaj. I've been using BlueMusic since first release last year, never heard of simplessmartphone's solution. So i deciced to give it a go... well SimpleSmartphone guy you're nowhere near up to Teksoft's solution, not to mention that they offer free upgrades while you're charging the double of it !!! 8O
SO i must agree that what you're doing here is just a lame overposting instead of finding your own way in this world ;) I'm a poet now

Can I use this software to listen audio books?
