Ok tell me what I did wrong:

Blackjack: "syncs" fine (well, read below, depends on your definition of sync)
Hp Laptop running: Vista, Office 2007 and WMDC(not Beta)
4Smartphone account:

I sync my calendar this morning via USB. Easy. While out today I adjusted some of the calendar items, changing time, taking notes etc ON THE Blackjack. I never once opened my laptop. I get home, open the laptop, and check some email via Outlook2007. I never opened any of the calendar items. I plug in the USB and sync. The calendar items on the Laptop overwrite all the changes I made on the Blackjack. A new Smartphone calendar item appears, but those with changes got overwritten!

I checked the setting in WMDC. They say in case of a "conflict" overwrite items on the device. Ok I thought I understood what "conflict" meant in this case; both items changing, then the item on the device would be overwritten.

Anyone got any insight on this?

Do I need to change the setting in my WMDC Exchange? I have it set to sync only mail. Could this be my issue?

Thanks,

So both your phone and Outlook 2007 connects to your Exchange server account, right?

If so, when you sync your phone with Outlook, Outlook will look at Exchange server as its governing source, not your phone. Since you never synced your calendar change from phone to Exchange server, hence you lost all your changes.

What you should do is sync all items possible on the phone with Exchange server instead of Outlook. Sync only the items like notes from Outlook.
