Version 2 adds support for higher resolution and landscape devices. It also adds a new interface that looks a lot easier to use. Homescreen designer is a most have tool if you want to create or modify your homescreens but you don't want to learn XML.<br /><br />If you already own a copy of Homescreen Designer version 1, you can upgrade to version 2 for only $5 - check the details at Ruttensoft's web site. The full version sells for $14.99, and it's a great deal in my opinion. Check out the Flash animation over <a href="http://www.ruttensoft.com/Products/HomescreenDesigner/WindowsMobile50forSmartphone/tabid/58/Default.aspx">here</a> for a good look at what version 2 offers. I'll be installing this a little later today and I'll post a screen shot or two when I do.<br /><br /><b>Update:</b> Homescreen Designer can now be purchased from our <a href="http://software.smartphonethoughts.com/product.asp?id=10444">affiliate store.</a> 8)

Smartphones don't have square screens - so this isn't too big an issue.

Doesn't the Treo have a square screen?

The Treo is a WM5 PocketPC phone, not a WM5 Smartphone. The Ruttensoft designer only does Smartphone home screens.

Sorry guys - looks like I won't be able to post any screen shots right now. HSD doesn't yet support Vista, but they are working on it and expect it to be released soon. :(
If anyone else has some screen shots of HSD in action, fire them over to us and we'll add them to the post. :D News (at) SmartphoneThoughts (dot) com.

Anyone kow how to get ahold of these people? I bought this through their website via Paypal and haven't received anything from them yet. All emails to
[email protected] keep bouncing back as undeliverable.

Yesterday. I assumed it would be an automated transaction but maybe they manually need to see payment was received then email an activation code? It's troublesome that emails bounce back.
