Sorry im not sure if this question belongs here but here I go. Does anyone know if theres a reset button in the DASH besides powering the unit on/off or taking the battery pack out?

Powering the device on / off is just going to soft reset the device - same goes for removing the battery. If you want to hard reset the device, there should be a menu item called "Clear Storage" or something like that. This will hard reset the device back to it's original factory settings. If you can't start up the device to locate that menu option, there is a button press combination that you can do. I'm not sure what it is for the Dash. It might be listed in the manual.

oops im sorry let me clarify. I meant restart not reset. I apologize. Is there a "restart" button for the DASH besides turning the unit on/off?
Thanks

Turning it off and on is a restart or soft reset. I think you're looking for a quick and easy - 1 click type solution. I know that there are some applications out there that do this. I can't think of them off the top of my head. Alerts! does - you can setup a scheduled alert that will reboot the phone at a given date/time and even make it reoccuring too.

There is a program called SKtoolslight. This program works like disk clean up( for the pc ) and includes a restart.

Here's how you can reset the Dash without turning it on first.

- From the Off state, press and hold the two soft-keys then press and hold the power button for about 1-2 seconds. Then release the soft-keys and it should start into the hard reset mode.

Note - I don't have a Dash so I can't confirm that this method works. But it's about the same process as other HTC devices, so I'm pretty sure it's a go. If anyone attempts this, please let me know how it turns out. :)

Actually Facade has a restart button that I discovered quite by accident..lol. Saves me the trouble of turning it off & back on again.

If however, you don't have Facade, then I've no clue.

I think you mean reset in the restart way, right? We're talking about hard reseting the device which will wipe clean any and all applications installed on the device. I would be surprised if Facade included this type of feature.

Ah, ok I hadn't realized you meant a hard reset. From the quote below I thought he only wanted to restart the phone like in rebooting as opposed to reformatting.

You can actually 'reformat' the phone, from the start menu, go down to Accessories, then Clear Storage. It will, from my understanding, reset to factory settings. Essentially clear everything out.
