Upon the request from many business users, we have integrated a very friendly and detailed contact call log feature that is accessible from the Agenda One contact view."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Jerry-agendaone_calllog.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />I don't normally make a fuss over minor updates here but DeveloperOne slipped (build 3872) in what I think is a great little feature. A call log. With any contact highlighted in your contact list you can pull this up for that contact! I like it! If you haven't checked out Agenda One yet, go do it now!

The over the air update feature of Agenda One is one reason I chose to go with this product over Papyrus or Extreme Agenda, both of which are good products. The program is updated frequently and the developers are very responsive to user requests. My hat is off to these folks.

It is nice that we went from essentially no application of this type to three of them. :)

Yeah the over the air updates are great! I'm downloading it right now to check out this new feature.

I hate the current call log / call history, so I'll have to check this out. :D

we actually went to only two viable applications, because only Agenda One and Extreme Agenda are demonstrating a true commitment to the Smartphone platform in that they have actually been responding to user requests for enhancements. I suspect that the others were only an experiment, a test of the potential market for such smartphone applications.

Papyrus has been languishing between it's original design and the WebIS cosmetic makeover. From the lack of update releases and the dearth of relevant smartphone comments on their support forums SBSH and WebIS seem to be concentrating solely on the Pocket PC market.

Interesting. If you are correct they are looking in the wrong direction. The explosion is happening on the Smartphone side of things.

I agree; I think it's exceptionally naive of them to be so PDA focused now, especially as the majority of new products being released this year seem to be of the smartphone formfactor.

I jumped ship from Papyrus to AgendaOne, despite my severe reservations at buying a DeveloperOne product again - they have an awful track record for continuing development of their products. However, the feature set is in AgendaOne right now, so that's where I am! And, they seem to be doing a good job of cranking out the updates at this point.

Perhaps on the Smartphone side this has been true. Agenda Fusion (the Pocket PC only PIM) is constantly being updated.

I purchased Pocket Informant for Smartphone (Papyrus rebranded), a week or so later Agenda One was released, tried it and bought it within a few days and haven't looked back (for Pocket PC I preferred PI over AF though). Agenda One beats PI:SP/Papyrus in every area. The regular updates and over the air upgrading is awesome.

It would be cool to have a call log replacement, one that displays all calls from different contacts, not just calls from individual contacts.

I have no experience with their PocketPC products. WorksForTurkeys was talking about SBSH not updating their Smartphone products. I am just pointing out that DeveloperOne all but abandoned Power Calendar and Power Tasks for almost 2 years. Like I said, they have the superior product right now, but there is always a big push at the beginning of a development lifecycle. Hopefully they can maintain the pace of putting out frequent updates.

You're right about DeveloperOne not releasing any updates for Power Calendar and Power Tasks, but to their credit they did give me the upgrade discount on Agenda One for my purchase of Power Calendar 2 yrs ago.

I think they let those products go stale because they were dead ends. Granted it took them a while to get to AgendaOne. I'm glad it panned out the way it did in spite of the wait.

Check out their forums, though. There are a lot of posts asking when a new release was coming, and no responses. Also, they stopped development far before WM5 hit the shelves.

They still have a long way to go to prove themselves in my eyes, but AgendaOne is a fantastic product, far and away the best of the bunch, and, as WorksForTurkeys noted, they provided an upgrade path from their old products. Let's look back at this thread in 9 months and see where we stand - that's when I'll feel comfortable recommending this to someone who can't afford to buy more than one program. Right now my recommendation would go to Papyrus, simply because I know they are going to keep updating it.
