Hi,
Thanks for having this helpful site around. I can not believe I am a tech and having issues figuring out Windows Mobile. I do love this Dash from the two days I have been playing with it. I guess Ill start with some basic questions that are dumb founding me.
Where and how do I get and install updates, programs and games? I know this is a HTC T-Mobile Dash smart phone, but the few sites I have been to do not have this listed. Is there a different name to use for the Dash when looking for updates, aps and games?
Thanks

You should be able to install any program which supports landscape screens. The first such device was the Motorola Q, so keep an eye out for that. Anything that runs on it should run on the Dash.

Often those compatibility lists are worthless. Always use the trial version first. If there is no trial version, buyer beware.

snowman5373, welcome to Smartphone Thoughts.
For software try out our software store:

Our software forum talks about new releases:

Also you can find links for lots software over here:

Regarding what kind of software you can install - look for software that claims compatibility with "Windows Mobile 5.0" devices. And also landscape mode.
The previous version of Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition is also compatible but you should try them out first. Infact try out all software before you buy them.
Lastly, how to install the software. You must have Microsoft ActiveSync installed. Most software come with desktop installers which will walk you thru the steps of installing software on your phone. But some might require you to copy the .CAB which is the Windows Mobile installer file over to the phone first manually. And then you can run the .CAB file by clicking on it in file explorer on the phone.
Hope this helps. :-)
