I'm getting a bit frustrated with having only 24MB memory available to me on the 2125. This is RAM, correct? Stats tell me that the Blackjack also has 64MB RAM, but it's not SRAM like on the 2125. What's the diff? How much is available on the Blackjack?

Or, is it ROM, and the Blackjack has it doubled?

Thanx for the input.......$400 is a lot of money to spend!

The BlackJack is 128MB Flash ROM and 64MB RAM

The Cing 2125 is 64MB Flash ROM and 64MB RAM

Now, you have noticed that the 2125 is advertised as SDRAM and the BJ just says RAM. These are marketing decissions. Samsung isn't advertising the type of RAM used or the exact speed of the processor it's using. But Cingular is.

There have been many discussions around here about the types of RAM/ROM and all the details around it. If you really want to know the differences, then I would suggest reading one of those threads - I find them too heavy usually. The important thing is that the BJ has more.

Thanx, Mike. More is better.

So, it's ROM. I'll snoop around some more.

The BlackJack also has 3G. The 2125 does not.

I'm finding that most new phones (at least thru Cingular) are 3G. I went shopping for a new phone for my husband yesterday, to discover that a 3G music phone can be had for $49 (contract) after rebates. And, the screen is the same size as the 2125.

But, no WM5, which I've become addicted to :-)
