This whole thing about WMDC not being available now has been a pain for me. I just swtiched devices (from the i320 to the BlackJack) and my laptop is running Vista. So I can't load all my contacts on my device.

WMDC is available for download, although it is still technically in Beta.
Microsoft has it available here:

I've been running it for a while now on Vista (various releases, RC1, RC2, and now RTM) and it's working great.
Edit: I just actually looked at the article, and they do have a link posted there as well to download. Gotta love posting without reading first

Well, I certainly try, even though I don't post much.
But yeah, WMDC is running great on my computers, syncs up just fine with Office 2003 and 2007.

Interesting. Last I heard, they had pulled the beta when Vista RTM'd. I guess that was only until the next WMDC beta was ready. Thanks for the link. I'll have to check it out.
And no, I haven't had a chance to read the article yet. I saw Kris' post and wanted to relate my problem before I ran out the door. I'll be reading it all this evening. I was hoping one of our readers would have some advice for me by the time I returned to my computer. Thanks again. :)

My guess would be no. But I can't say for sure. Try it and let us know. :D

Please disregard the e-mail below. Problem resolved once using the docking bay. I was trying via bluetooth
--- EDIT -----
Hi all,
I am desperately trying to get some help with Windows Mobile Device Centre. I cannot seem to install it correctly or I am getting the wrong setup files.
The file I am installing is called drvupdate-x86.msi however when it installs nothing happens after the initial install. I cannot see WMDC in my control panel but when I look in add/remove programs I see "Windows Mobile Device Center Driver Update" installed.
I've tried everything I can think off but I cannot get it to work. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate RTM on an IBM Thinkpad T43. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!
Thanks.
