A standalone player and development kit for Windows Mobile 5.0 are freely available, but in typical Adobe fashion, downloading the two requires logging in, which means it's time to wipe the dust off your idle Adobe accounts."</i><br /><br />Adobe's Flash Lite for Windows Mobile Smartphone? I'm speechless, in the "that-totally-rocks" kind of way! ;)

Before a bunch of people start going crazy for this....this does not allow you to view Flash websites in Pocket Internet Explorer.
The intent is to act as an enviornment to run mobile application SWF files on the phone.
Adobe/Macromedia still need to make a Flash Plugin for Smartphones. I dont know why it isnt available sine the PPC version has been around for years.
One thing you can do with this is run SWF files on the phone like soundboards and other apps. Kind of cool but still cumbersome.

As I understand it, they are abandoning the Flash 7 player for PPC - they launched it earleir this year, and have remained silent about it ever since.
I hope then when they get around to the NEXT version of Flash Lite that it will allow for the full range of features we want. However, since so many web sites are bloated with infuriating Flash adverts, I'm happy that Flash is not supported in the browser by Flash Lite.

I disagree. I can't wait to play flash games, use flash apps, and develop them as well.

Does that mean it can run swf files with mp3 streaming in them? Maybe take advantage of the 'net connection in the phone and grab mp3s coded to be streaming in swf, if that is possible in any way?
