Now this phone has my interest. Finally a phone that has everything. Hopefully battery life will be better.

I believe the BlackJack is simply the US version of this phone. I doubt we'll ever see it here. I have been wrong before, of course...

Yup, the gray outline. Basically, you can push either of those keys and the phone will accept it as that number. I don't think the BJ does that. I don't have mine yet, so I could be wrong.

The BlackJack does that as well. These are essentially the same phone.

The rumor also is that this has WiFi. Anyone buy that?

according to CNET asia it will have wifi :) I also talked to someone [although in Marketing] at SAMSUNG Philippines and she confirmed it will have WiFi but will be released next year [we are just getting the i320 now so that may be the reason for this].

Maybe the this international BlackJack release will help to push Vaja to make a case. When I emailed them they told me they are not planning on making a case for this device.

The measurements are all the same right?

I think the dimensions are the same, it's probably just the addition of a front facing camera which is different. Hopefully silicone case makers are also taking notice :P I like silicone cases better heehee

Why? IMHO they pick up too just lint and dirt....maybe I just need to clean out my pockets.

I dunno I usually buy a silicone, a leather case, and a metal case but end up using the silicone the most. My device is too big for my pocket so most of the time I am holding it or it is in my bag.

I thought I read that this is actually a tad slimmer than the blackjack. 11.8mm compared to 12mm. maybe they will be using the newer LCDs that was just recently introduced. just a thought.

I think this owuld be a great upgrade for us Blackjack owners, BUT I would fear the tirade of dead battery complainers when you add WiFi and a front facing video conference camera. For me, battery has not been an issue because I've always charged at night (whether the old Samsung 8500, Treo 650, or Cingular 8125/3125/5600). WiFi sucks electrons even faster than 3G, but I LOVE the Blackjack form factor so I'm willing to compromise.

Boy, that's some "tad." .2 mm isn't anything much, really.

I'm going to guess that the UMTS radio will be at a different frequency as well - seems like the 3G phones will have this same confusing "feature" of different frequencies, esp. difficult to int'l travelers.

cnet is posting quad band GSM [GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900], but the UMTS is just 3G with HSDPA [no specific band mentioned] I'm sure it will support 2100Mhz [our band here in Manila, since it is slated for launch here].
