I've seached here but can not find it.
How do you save off a pic sent via mms. I think it ended up as a dat file based on the file time.
Thanks...

On the 3125 it is:

While you are viewing the MMS:

Menu>Object View

then:

Menu>Save Photo

Well it was a question on the Phone half of the device. I divide any questions based on the function involved. Actually I feel pretty comfortable with the PDA half as I've been involved with one of some kind since before the Ipaq 3600 and been a member of PPCT since 2002 (long time in the PDA world I think). But I really do appreciate any help I can get here on the phone functions as on some simple things I feel at a lost and really behind the rest of you guys.
I am happy with the converged device for the most part. But I do miss the larger screen and having two memory card slots as on previous PPCs.
Thanks again for your help and interest...

unfortunately, the phone part of the devices are still pretty different between the two platforms. :?

Regardless, I'm glad you were about to get some guidance and solve the problem. :D

Never having had a Smartphone model before, I still probably don't appreciate all the differences. I gather from comments about more programs releasing a Smartphone version there is a lot of difference in navigation on screens and between screens - using the arrow and enter keys because of not being a touch screen.
By touch - I always used a stylus before, even with screen protectors. But now I can use either the keypad number buttons; or the screen keypad layout is large enough and responsive enought to use fingers for dialing, entering card numbers, codes, etc. in the phone function. I'm getting to like that better than the little number buttons. But both are better than having to grab a stylus all the time. I particularly appreciate the keypad buttons instead of the stylus and SIP for larger keying like for new contacts.
But I ramble...
Thanks again for the encouragement...

It's kind of a funny thing. It's more than just how you navigate. One-handed seems so natural to me now. When I pick up my wife's kjam, I get all confused and lost - even doing the simple things like placing a call. :?

The PPC is almost the same as the Smartphone now that they added the softkey menu items. But it still has a way to go.
