Is there anything out there that sync's your outlook notes to your wm5 phone? I miss this from the palm desktop days.

Phatnotes (http://www.phatware.com/phatnotes/index.html) is one way. I use and like it. Smartphonenotes (http://software.smartphonethoughts.com/product.asp?id=6977) is another great program and is cheaper. They both get the job done. :D

Phatnotes looks interesting... do you sync w/ Outlook or the desktop piece? i'd rather sync w/ Outlook personally but was wondering what functionality i would lose?

I sync with outlook. you do lose some function but it was nothing I cared about. I don't even remember what it was.

I like the way SmartphoneNotes implements into ActiveSync. Unfortunately, I don't really use notes anymore. Not since OneNote 2007 Beta came out. It's my #1 note and list application now. 8)

The problem with OneNote though is when you get into syncing 3 devices, like me. Gets confusing.

Yup it does. The only down thing is that I don't think it's available anymore. You might have to wait for the actual product release now.

Yeah I think you are right Mike. I was poking around MS. Only the Technical Refresh is available. That of course required the Beta to be installed already.

i think onenote might be a bit much for me anyways... i really just need a notes app like phatnotes me thinks... thanks a ton though guys for pointing me to the alternatives.

[UPDATE] i am having a spot of trouble though w/ phatnotes. i can't seem to get it to sync w/ outlook 2007. when i go into the options in activesync (advanced) and click on the "outlook folders" button it hangs every time... weak!!!

Well it is a beta. It works well for me though. Try uninstall/reinstall, if you haven't already. :)

Yeah i figured that it was surely a problem w/ Outlook 2007 beta... but still have fingers crossed i can resolve. Thanks again.

my phatnotes w/ outlook 2007 issue resolved itself w/ a reinstall (turns out i never even had to click the "manage outlook folders" button to get it to go, just sync'd out of the box on install).

In the end though i decided to go w/ smartphone notes since it's half the price (literally) with most of the functionality... esp if you don't care about phatnotes desktop app and prefer to just sync w/ Outlook notes...

Cool. I think they're both great apps, so you can't go wrong with either.
