The Windows Mobile device was sleek and sexy, unlike any other smart phone before it, and generally delivered on performance. However, when you're sitting there at the top, there's always going to be someone who wants to knock you down, and let's just say the T-Mobile Dash is ready for a fight."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Jerry-QvsD.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />Kris, I'm not sure but I think we thought of this format first! The Dash frenzy continues and I'm getting a little tired of this unabashed love fest. I mean come on now people. It's just a phone!

I am telling you, Dash is the coolest. :rock on dude!:

Battery life alone for me is the biggest plus point. It feels great in the hand.

The other big difference is the AKU 3.0. I have been using WinMo 5.0 from the early 2125 version to Q to push email update, but this build of WinMo by far the most stable and seems to be a bit zippy. I feel that the Dash is more responsive than the Q even though Q has a faster processor.

Love the Dash, but Moto Q Norman looks tempting. ;-)

Kris, I'm not sure but I think we thought of this format first!

Yes, we did but remember how we broke out into a fight: you were in favour of the Q and I of course liked the Dash. Then we called in Mike to break the fight and he started gloating about the i320.

What am I going to do with you guys? The Q is the best. The Dash is, well, a fad machine! :P

WOW! Just a phone? I'm glad my dash didn't hear you say that. Come here baby (cuddling my dash). Did you not read that the dash is the #1 "must have" gadget? Just a phone? I think not! :)

In my opinoun, the Q is last among the 3 main QWERTY's. I would rank the Dash at the top, but only because it has Quad band, and a better battery life. The poor JOGGR implementation is a big minus (even if you can hack it back to normal).

From a PDA standpoint, the Dash comes out ahead of the Q IMO, especially with the WiFi, which is huge. But, in the end, it comes down to the phone. Verizon's EVDO beats anybody's EDGE and for me, that's the deciding point.

Now, if the Dash comes in Verizon or Sprint EVDO flavors, then we are talking :)

Little surprised at the call quality scores for the Q. Overall I find it very good. Certainly much better than the Treo's I've owned and better than my RAZR.

Enough of this Dash stuff already! The Dark Q will Eclipse the Dash.

I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Q. 8)

You know seriously, the Dash is not only the best phone I've ever had but IMHO it's the best device out there. I love the size, look, wifi, features, call quality. I can't think of a device I'd trade for it. And believe me, the following site just about has them all: http://mobile.softpedia.com/ yes even the "Q"

That's pretty hard to call. I think the original Excalibur is better than the Dash. It's not as popular because it's not being distributed by a carrier.

I do think it's fair to say that the Q, Dash/Excalibur, and i320 are the best Smartphones we've seen to date. I hope i-mate's SPL can live up to these devices.

It's just a phone!

If I'm not mistaken, this is denial, the first of the five stages of grief. ;)

Just a phone? Jerry, I'm shocked!

Its the painkillers that doing the talking. We have lost our Jerry temporarily. This new Jerry lives in the Utopian dream land.

Once Jerry recovers, we should make him read these posts.

BTW..Jerry did try to ditch the losing camp (aka Q) by getting the 700w, which I guess turned out to be an even more terrible decision (again because of the pain killers I am guessing).

Of course, us Q people will be in denial at the much faster rate of 500k-1mb as we are reading these posts over EVDO, not 50k-100k EDGE :)

Right you are on all counts! The 700w, BTW, is pathetic. Palm should slither back to what they are good at, so to speak.

Lol....you guys are a trip!!!

This is almost as fun as watching Everybody Loves Raymond!!

yeah well a phone may be a phone, then stick with a basic Nokia or something far as that goes, I actually almost went with the PEBL instead of the Dash. The Q looked pretty nice when 1st advertised, but The Dash is a very cool phone, and I thought the SDA was cool, which it would be were it not for the memory woes.

The qwerty and size of the Dash hooked me in. That and the memory is twice the capacity of the SDA. The MDA didn't look as inviting for some reason. Cingular's version looked way cooler.

I'm a gadget freak, can't help it. Not as techno-savvy as some of you folk, but the things we can do nowadays are way cool. I grew up reading science fiction and remember daydreaming in the early 80s of having a handheld phone (with a rotary dial no less!!) that you could call from around the world in. Now look!

Never tried EDVO, but EDGE is pretty good. The SDA claimed to have it, but never showed it. One advantage Tmo has is sim cards. Can you unlock a cdma phone for Tmo??

I'm into day six of my 14-day courtship with the DASH, and haven't pined for my SDA even once. I've tweaked it, played with screens, loaded apps and generally spent enough time with it to elicit eye rolls from the frau. And while I can't bring myself to say it's the best phone ever.....I will say it's the best phone ever so far.

Sorry you are all wrong. The Treo 750v is the dogs *ollocks. I did not hold out much hope for it but bought one anyway because I love gadgets and I have found it to be awesome.

Battery life is a bit rubbish if you get millions of emails like I do but I can last a day. I am a very heavy users. On quiet days it lasts easily.

I cant believe how much thought that Palm have put into the one handed use of the phone. Wicked phone.
