damn at first blush this app is pretty darn sweet. i'm a die-hard Papyrus fan/user but this may just give it a run for its money (though the SBSH team will always get my bias so i'm def not ready to jump ship anytime soon)... i especially love the "new" task/appt dialogue... real, real easy to enter w/ one hand (this is one area i think it has Papyrus trumped pretty handily).

i'm actually using this on a t-mo dash. the more i play w/ it the more i like it. the entire app just has a VERY well made feel to it. the search feature really kicks a$$ too. everything seems SUPER easy to do w/ one hand so far (which i really like). hell you can even update the app FROM YOUR PHONE (we've had this "feature" in apps on our PC for so long now i'm spoiled by it and happy to see it finally making its way to WM).

PS - the "month" view looks great on the dash and has a really cool "preview" section to the right of the calendar. if you highlight a day you see the appts/tasks over there... i have to admit this is the first time i've ever seen a month view that i thought was actually useful (ever). you'll like this view me thinks.

I had installed for a couple of hours on my T-Mo Dash, and I must say it's definitely going to get SBSH back to the drawing board. I actually had Papyrus loaded on my phone, and was ready to shell out some $$ when I stumble upon this software. The interface is great, graphics is awesome, love it.

Oh, one problem/issue I'm having is searching contacts. Somehow, no matter what text input I choose on the option tab, I still get a funky result when hitting the button with numbers on it.

fox example:

I hit "A" which is also the "#", then the "A" won't show, but takes me somewhere else. I believe "#" goes to the end of the list or front. I hit ALT, but still no go. :(

Actually, all the keys with numbers on it seems to act differently in contact view seach. Someone else having this problem? This is pretty much my only complain I'm having right now.

I am having teh same problems with searching for contacts. Once I start typing it takes forever to show results. When the results do appear, they are wrong.

This program runs extremely slow on my T-Mobile Dash. After watching the twirly windows 'wait' thing for 30 seconds, I gave up on looking at a monthly calendar view.

The contact section isn't a replacement for the built in contact app, it's a layer on top of it. The contact pictures on the left do not correspond to the contact listing on the right which makes the list and pictures look mismatched -- eventually it becomes apparent that you scroll each list separately -- an odd design choice. It's an unnecessary use of system resources, and this app uses a lot of them. If you're going to do contacts, do them completely and give me a contact screen that shows primary info all in one screen instead of scrolling down -- i.e.: more of a business card display with additional details still scrollable.

The program is very slow and way behind Papyrus in functionality, speed and utilization of system resources.

I didn't experience any slow down on my side. In fact, I thought it is quite fast for a program with such rich features.

In Agenda View they have an option called Compressed Mode, I wonder if they just forgot to put this as an option for the Day view?

Hello, This is something that seems to be isolated to the T-Mobile Dash.

By Design, Pressing the ( # ) key in Contacts will take you to the bottom of your contact list. Note: If your keyboard shares another letter with the ( # ) key, you may need to enter the Shift or Alt state to properly enter that key. On a traditional phone keypad device (0-9,#,*) you may just press ( # ). Likewise, pressing ( * ) will take you to the top of the list.

In the case of the Dash using the Shift or Alt before hitting # or * in the Contact Search does not seem to switch the search to an alpha character. Developer One is currently working on this issue.

i'm a longtime papyrus user and I too feel agenda one is considerably faster in many (most?) areas. I def am having the same issues w/ the contacts layer though so decided to disable that in favor of regular old built-in contacts (what's wrong with that anyways?). one thing I personally cant get over is the task and appt entry screens... so simple yet SO well done.

So I presume that this one doesn't have any home screen plugins.

Does it override the default Windows Mobile Calendar app, so that when you tap on the Calendar plugin on the home screen, it goes to AgendaOne.

I had the same problem at first. in agenda one global settings you need to make sure it is the default PIM app (you can specify calendar,tasks, contacts, or any combination). I have facade and A1 working fine together.

Update/Fix for T-Mobile Dash / HTC S620 / O2 Cosmo

Thank you for your feedback and reporting the issues in regards to the T-Mobile Dash and similar devices.

We have a new update (1.0.3139) which addresses:

- Contact view sorting issue
- Contact view keyboard handling

We experienced something unique on the T-Mobile Dash that was causing the contacts list to not sort your contacts properly.
This has been addressed and is working fine in our testing.

The T-Mobile Dash also exhibits some different keyboard behavior than other Smartphones with keyboards (i.e. the Motorola Q, Samsung i-320). We isolated those differences and the keyboard searching functionality from the Contacts view is now working as expected.

We felt that most people would want to see full detail on the Today view, and get more of an overview with the Agenda View which is why we offer Compressed Mode on the Agenda view. We will weigh the interest in this feature for future builds. We want to give users the most common and most useful features and keep the options and settings easy to find and set as much as possible.

We don't have templates that save all of these fields as a whole, but you can add items to your Subject, Location and Category lists by entering the desired value and then select Menu - Add to subject list, or Menu - Add to location list or from the Category field select Menu - New Category.

If you have a recurrence, many commonly used ones are available from the Occurs field.

There's plenty of room (on the widescreen Dash) to display the start and end times in "Compressed Mode", any chance you could add that option? In non-compressed mode, the appointments are literally only using 1/4 of the usable screen.

Also, I wonder if it would look more uniform if the icons in Agenda (Compressed Mode) were moved to the right of the appointment titles?

I like it. I like having the preview at the top of the screen on the month view. But, I have not been able to figure out how to prevent "completed" tasks from appearing on the preview; they show up with check marks.

Couple questions...

Love the app....love it, will be buying soon. As a former Agenda Fusion user, its good to have that Agenda View back again.

I'm using a t-mobile SDA.

If I hit the 'Home' key on my sda to go back to the WM launch screen, and go back into Agenda One, why does it always default to the 'Week' view screen.

I have already set the Startup View in the Global Settings to Agenda, but if the app is running and I switch to it, it always goes back to the Week view.

However, if I close out of Agenda One completely, and launch it fresh, it does launch to the Agenda view as the setting indicates.

Any thoughts? What setting did I miss?

Thanks for bringing that up. Here is how we designed it to work (in 1.0.31880).

Using the Agenda One link from the Start menu or from a shortcut bar should always bring you to your defined "Startup View".

Here are some cases where we do not use the defined "Startup View" and the reasoning that goes along with it. Suppose the Startup View was set to be the Task View, and the Appointments, Contacts, and Tasks are all set to point to Agenda One. From the Home Screen if the right soft key is pressed (Contacts) we decided most people would expect to see their Contacts, so we overide the defined "Startup View" which in this example was Tasks.

Using the same example as above from the Home Screen again. If the next Appointment on the Home Screen is selected, we decided most people would want to go to a Calendar view even though the "Startup View" was Tasks. We made a judgment call to always use the Today view because it will show the most detail about the appointment.

So, even though in your case the Agenda View is set to be the "Startup View" selecting the next Appointment on the Home Screen will always bring up the Today View. I hope this helps, and we are always open to hearing your ideas and suggestions.

P.S. We are looking at a way to allow you to disable the splash. We should be able to have something for you on that in the near future.

I agree, this is a great first version of this app. It just needs more complete task filtering options in the calendar views.

Core features like hide undated tasks, completed tasks, etc. in the calendar views which is available in Papyrus are missing here.

These features are available in the Agenda View but strangely absent from the other Calendar views...

So for instance in the limited real estate in Week View, it lists all of these undated tasks for the current day which prevent you from seeing all the tasks that are actually due today. Not very useful.

I'm sure (hope) this will get addressed in future updates though...
