In case you thought it was a bit pricey, you will be happy to hear that Verizon has lowered the price by offering a $100 mail-in-rebate. Now you can get your hands on the Q for $99 but you will have to sign up for a 2 year contract. I wonder if this new pricing strategy is influenced by the T-Mobile Dash which went on sale last week. :? Hopefully this new pricing will boost the sales of the Q and help achieve the sales numbers that Motorola is looking for.

Great deal! Why can't I ever wait long enough to get them? :bad-words:

Remember the time when we bought the MPx220. What a rip off that was. Compared to that the Q has been an awesome deal. At $199, isn't the launch price for the Q cheaper than the MPx220? I don't remember the launch price of the MPx220, wasn't it something like $250 or $299? Oh the nightmare.

I questioned the "nation's thinnest smartphone" statement in that ad...but I guess they're right, the Q is 11.5mm thick as opposed to the Dash at 13mm.

I think the Samsung has the thinnest but they are not out in the US. :-(

BTW...Verizon is even advertising the Qs as $99 on TV. 8O

That is pretty interesting. Bringing it a bit into the mainstream.

Correct. The Samsung is the thinnest Smartphone, but it's not being sold by carriers nation wide. So they're safe in saying the Q is the nation's thinnest. However, there are thinner, and cooler devices. ;)
