SDA as WIFI for laptops

Any one explored tethering the SDA to a computer to get the computer onti a WIFI network? TMO tech support said it can't be done, but we all know how much they really know. I unfortunately don't know squat about 1's and 0's, so I couldn't pursue it further after they told me no.

You can connect to it over Bluetooth but I don't know that you'll get any faster WiFi connection. I think the speed of the connection between the two devices would be the bottle neck.
