Only flags updates (for everything except deleted flag for now) work right now. We want now to gather your feedback on how this works. Then we’ll add message moving and deleting support too (it will be faster, the main principle will be the same). Secondly there are some major SP Port improvements (main folders tree navigation, attachments handling, Socks, SSL and SMTP authentication dialogs ported etc.). We’d like to hear more response from Motorola Q users."</i><br /><br />Long time Pocket PC users have heard of, if not used FlexMail on their devices. So, you'll be happy to hear that FlexMail is coming to the Smartphone and WebIS needs some help to beta test the application. They are especially looking for Q users, but I'm sure they would welcome any device Smartphone owners input.

I've had it on my Q a couple of days now. The one thing I noticed missing, not a big deal, no pictures of the sender show up in the email header as they normally do.

i installed flexmail (beta) for SP then uninstalled and now i'm getting an error when i try and go back into the default messaging app.

"unable to locate "wismail" or one of its components" yada yada. anyone know how to fix? i'm assuming i can get wismail from someone and drop it back into its proper location?

HELP! (thanks)

Hmm...wismail is FlexMail (old .exe name). Might want to try the WebIS beta forum.

i looked over there and its a known issue (ugh) w/o much of a fix. i got around it by creating a new shortcut in my start menu to "tmail" (which i found in /windows). i guess when flexmail installs it takes over the messaging icons/shortcuts and "forgets" to put them back when its uninstalled :)

I always regret installing this app. Once again I'm reminded why. It really doesnt do anything but mess up my devices. Maybe clearing the registry of all traces of it will cure the problem. I havent tried to uninstall it yet.

Anyone know if this sits on top of the existing Inbox, or if it has its own data store? Thanks!

I believe it uses the exiting Outlook and SMS boxes. If you create individual accounts, they might use their own space.

Cool, thanks! I was too lazy to RTFM...

Deleted and forgotten. I did not have the issue of not being able to find the native messaging application after uninstall.

Did it not work, or is it just not your cup 'o tea?

The latter. It really doesn't do anything useful that I need. This application has been around for years on the Pocket PC and it never worked well.

Default mail app is mostly fine, but it's missing a few pieces of functionality that I would love to get back:
1. Save attachments (sometimes I get the option, sometimes not)
2. Multiple delete
3. Customize list view (e.g., single line, show flags, etc.)

I wouldn't mind HTML support, but it's not critical. I'll probably give this a close look, but I'll be sure to backup the Q first!

The html capability is really the only reason I'm trying this on my Moto Q. There are a lot of features and settings, many of which I don't need. I find it combesome to do the simple things like reply, and delete. These options are two levels deep in the menus. Also, the need top return to the list to get to the next/previous message is combersome.
Things like this make FM feel too big when using it.
