The pics above plastered in Howard Forums are purported to be the latest Q-killer from Samsung. No front-facing camera like we we've seen elsewhere but that Cingular branding is unmistakable. Just to run it down again for ya, this WinMo Smartphone is expected to bring quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE / HSDPA data, Bluetooth, MicroSD expansion, and a side mounted scroll-wheel said to be "on-par, or better than those on RIM devices." We'll see soon enough if the Q3 launch date is accurate. Another picture 'round back after the break.</i>"<br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/augusto-20060924-sami607.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />It looks as if Cingular is gearing up for a release of the Samsung SGH-i607. Whether or not we see a State side release before the end of the year is still up in the air. While it would be nice to see a 3G Windows Mobile Smartphone released on our side of the ocean, we are all painfully aware of how Cingular likes to take their time releasing handsets. Also, I hope when this handset does drop into the hands of consumers, they remove the pound-sterling symbol/shortcut from above the "H" key. ;)

This looks really nice, but I can't seem to get a good idea of the size of it. I hope it's not too large. Otherwise, it looks pretty good to me. I really like the keypad layout on this better than any of the other QWERTY Smartphones on the market.

Well normally I don't like to link out of a forum to another forum, but since the original poster of this thread did AND I can't upload a file here, I will do it.

I went ahead and plugged in the specs of a i320 (same as i607), Q and 2125 to compare the sizes. I attached the files here : http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=7943944&amp;posted=1#post7943944 scroll down to my post (#31) and check out the jpeg I attached.

Hope that helps! :D

i have the i320n and it is not large by any means... 4.4 inches tall x 2.4 inches wide x .43 inches thick. the i607 appears to have a hump at the top - maybe for the HSDPA? that may add to the width at the top. by the way, what's with all these "hump/bumps" on today's smartphones???
