Not only are users asking for a more desktop-like experience from the applications and functions of the devices, but battery life is expected as well. For most feature phone users, going a day or two without charging the device is considered "no big deal" while Windows Mobile users get a little more anxious when they enter that second day. While battery life on Pocket PCs and Smartphones has steadily improved, there are times where charging is necessary but location or circumstance make it difficult or impossible to find an electrical outlet."</i><br /><br />While charging a battery with another battery is nothing new, a device that lets you do so can be a lifesaver. Here is a review of two AA sized chargers for those situations where cannot get to an outlet.

Where we Windows Mobile Smartphone / PocketPC users are going we don't need electrical sockets...

...we just shove the USB cable into a USB port of the nearest available PC and hey presto....your phone charges!

And it gets better...if we have forgotten our USB cable, we can just borrow one - there are normally loads kicking around...

That's a pretty cool idea - charging your device from a single AA battery. How many times can you charge your device from a single battery? It can't be more than once or twice.

8O And I thought charging a device from 4 AAs was handy in a pinch.

The only issue I have with these two devices is the fact that they do not appear to use a USB or mini USB connector on the battery-containing device, like PPCTechs' solution does.

Well - if you want - you might as well use one of these:
