Check this composite shot out, fr'instance -- as we mentioned before, the rumored QWERTY device from HTC will clock in 2mm thicker than the 11.5mm Samsung i320, and the side shots here (if legit) confirm that 13.5mm ain't bad at all. If this thing is piquing your interest, T-Mobile just might have your hookup before too long."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Kris-Aug06-ExcaliburLeak3.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Engadget has managed to obtain another image of the <a href="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,11929">HTC Excalibur,</a> and this time it looks like the image is from a product marketing brochure. Engadget may have their sources but our readers will be happy to note that we too have our sources. ;-) <b><i>Our source is telling us</i></b> that the Dopod version of this QWERTY Smartphone will have a more refined look, significantly better keyboard and this is interesting - the Dopod version will not have the touch jog strip instead it will sport the traditional jog dial.

I like. I like it a lot!

But will it be my next phone.... Not sure. I also like the Samsung i320. Can I live without the WiFi, not sure. :?

There doesn't appear to be a headphone jack in that photo. So I take it the device will not support digital audio out of the box, unless they end up selling or including a silly proprietary dock connector adapter...which I hate!

TI OMAP 200 MHz processor! That's pretty slow compared to the Q. How responsive is this thing going to be?

So more folks are interested in the jog dial - playing it safe, eh. And a lot of folks are playing the wait and watch game, which is smart.

There doesn't appear to be a headphone jack in that photo.

I also tried to zoom into the photo but no sign of any connector openings or flaps, the only one is at the bottom, which looks like the regular USB jack.

I hope the refined look comes to pass! Too me the name doesn't fit the device Excalibur is the legendary sword of King Arthur... this looks like his butter knife
