View Full Version : Something's wrong, but I'm so new I can't even tell

So I used to have a 5600. I used its AS on my two computers, never had any problems with it, and then somebody stole it. Now, I just received my brand spankin new 2125 from Amazon today, and I played around with it a little before trying to synch it up with my computer. Everything was working, I was quite pleased.

But then I tried installing the newer version of AS that came with the 2125, and then synching the phone to my computer. That's when things went funky.

Whenever I hook up my phone, I get "Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persists, please see the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter in Microsoft ActiveSync Help on your desktop computer."

Now I think I've turned off all the firewalls on my computer, and I've already tried uninstalling and then reinstalling AS. That's when I noticed that whenever I tried to access Settings-->Home Screen/Power Management/Accessibility/Regional Settings/Owner Information/About/Error Reporting, I get an Error screen that says "The settings could not be opened."

I have no idea what else could be wrong, but I was hoping somebody else out there might have an idea as to what can be done to resolve this situation.

Thanks!

The version of Active Sync that came with your 2125 might not be the newest. 4.2 was released not too long ago. You might try to get that first and see if it helps.
