Everyone wants their own cool ringtone from their favourite song, band, or what-have-you. If you don't know how to create them, you can end up paying a lot of money just for a 30 second clip. Thankfully, Smartphone Thoughts member, aximilation, has written up a simple step-by-step guide on how to create your own custom ringtones. All you need is Audacity (freeware) and an MP3 of the song you want to transform into a ringtone.

Here's a handy tip to go along with aximilation's guide; Once you have that funky new ringtone, you can assign it to an individual caller. All you have to do is edit the contact you want to assign the ringtone, and set the field "Custom ring tone" to your latest creation. Enjoy!

Please continue the discussion in the existing thread. Thanks.
