better way to change email profile??

So, here's what I'm looking for...
Is there an application whereby I can change the setting of how often "Messanging" automatically checks for email that DOESN'T take 19 key clicks until the profile is changed and you're back into your homescreen???
When you're mobile, you would like to be checking for email maybe every 1/2 hour but when you'r in the Office, there really isn't any need to be checking on your mobile and racking up costly data usage.
Isn't this something I should be concerned about?

I guess it depends if you have unlimited data or not. ;)

Just because you're in the office, doesn't mean you're at your desk and don't need it to monitor email. You could be anywhere in the building. You need some sort of Bluetooth system that detechs when you're in a given radius of your desktop and then turns off email checking. :D
