Especially if you like having features like a keyboard on your device, the Q not only packages that functionality but also includes the basic features of Windows Mobile in a RAZR thin device. And the Q also starts to ask the question of can Windows Mobile hold up against in a Blackberry on a device of similar form factor? In this ThoughtCast, Jason and I talk about the Motorola Q, its anticlimactic launch, and the Q compared to the Blackberry."</i><br /><br />Jason and Dave's latest ThoughtCast is all about Smartphones. My criticisms are always looked at negatively, but that was not the best Podcast from an experienced Smartphone user's perspective. Redundant.

That said...For PPC users or newbies...it was probably informative.

My ThoughtsCast wishlist....
...More Scoops.
...Big Interviews. (MS Employees and MSMobile App developers)
...More pressure on developers to create better apps.
...More direction for Hardware Manufacturers on what the public wants. Phone-features as well as accessories.

Personally, I'd like sites like this to not only report the news...but create news. Call out developers when they develop crap software. Entice existing and new developers to create new and better applications where our phones can utilize the internet/online connections, cameras, GPS, WiFi, and the power of the phones in general.

I believe, you and similar sites, have the power to steer the development of these devices and applications OUR way. Let's not just report on what's been done...but what SHOULD be done.

Reason for my rant...
My interest is dying. I'm becoming jaded. I used to be excited over Smartphones and PocketPCs. Now they're becoming...old.

I still can't live without them. But I'm not looking forward to anything in particular. When I listen to your podcast and read the sites...I'm looking for something to get me that old feeling back again. Do they make Smartphone Viagra?!
