Is it possible, through a setting or reg edit, to disable the clicking noise when scrolling in the start menu or IE on an SP5. The 8310 and 2125 do not do this. I would like to be able to disable the audible feedback when scrolling without disabling the system sound entirely. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a freeware app that we just posted about that does this. You can find it here (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11415) 8)

Thanks. That's one option. Anyone know of a reg edit that will disable the clicking noise?

How about Start>Settings>Sounds

Scroll to bottom.

Change Keypad Control to Tone or None. This will leave all other sounds on.

Just to be clear; This change would be for all keypad sounds and not just when you're IE Mobile.

To be even MORE clear... ;)

"click" make the noises you are hearing
"tone" disables the click sounds but still sounds dialing tones when, um, dialing.
"none" disables the scrolling and keypad sounds only. All other sounds will will such as rinds, alarms and events.

Thanks guys. Changing from Click to Tone corrected the issue for me. Can't believe it was that easy.
