I use "sync to device" in media center & media player 10 to send my recently recorded programs to my phone (v1240 with pocket media player 10)
I get the files across perfectly.
But the resolution is wrong!!
Grrr it converts to 160 x 90 when my phone can handle 240 x 320, so I get big black boarders.
Do you know how to change the settings?

Not sure. I don't know that WMP10 is aware of the new higher res smartphones. Might be worth installing WMP11 and see if that changes anything. I hear it's got a greatly improved sync.

Hi
Thanks for the responce. Not sure I want to put 11 beta on my Media Center PC just yet.
I do have another PC to try it on though.
Anyone else any thoughts?

Fair enough. I don't think I would install it on my MCE either. Hope someone else has some suggestions for you.

Hi Mike
For the record WMP 11 Beta works like a dream and converts to 320 x 176.
That looks great on my phone.
Now do I upgrade MY MCE :-) you know I want to

Hey Cool :!:
I don't know that I would upgrade MCE just yet. I would be afriad of something going wrong. Then again, my MCE is connected to my primary TV. If it goes down, my wfie would kill me. ;)

so far so good and now all my tv recorded in the last week is auto synced to my phone.

Oh, now you've got me wanting to upgrade my MCE. Not good. This is not good. I fear death if something goes wrong and all the videos and TV get destroyed. :2gunfire:

Backup. ;)
You can't call yourself a true geek unless you trash your system with beta releases. :P

How do you go about backing up a Media Center? It's a 250GB drive and it's got about 70GB free. The rest is all recorded TV and Video's. Backing it up is no easy task.
I've trashed my fair share of systems. That's the biggest reason why the MCE is off limits for me to play around with. 8)
