Has anyone used the 2125 as a modem for their notebook via bluetooth. If you have can you please explain how you got it to work. :?:

Make sure Bluetooth on your phone is on and set to discover. Then browse bluetooth devices from your laptop. It should find the phone, pair it, and then list Dial-Up as one of the available services. :)

I use the 2125 as a modem for my Pocket PC.

I have to take a look at the phone, I believe in the settings, I enabled the outgoing or incoming port for Bluetooth. I get confused which is which. Or did I do that for Bluetooth GPS.

Okay I was blabbering about the incoming/outgoing port for modem use. It is needed for GPS but not for the modem use.

I don't have a problem getting it installed, it is the protocols which xp expects to find which I am having a problem with.

Oh..Oh..the moment I typed the above post, some thing struck me, the CD that comes with the 2125 has a program called USBModem I believe, use that to test the USB connectivity and create a dial up connection, then you can switch the modem from USB modem to BT one in the XP connection properties.

Thanks that was the trick. I now can at least make a connection via usb, I have not tried the bluetooth but this may have fixed that too. I don't plan on using this much but when I am away from a real connection this is better than nothing

Glad that USB worked.

I think Cingular requires extra connection (AT commands) strings for connection, so dig into the settings, that is probably what did the trick. ;-)
