One of them is the display, which is tiny with a diameter of 1.9 inch (49 mm) and resolution of 176x220 pixels. The resolution is common to most smartphones currently on the market yet Windows Mobile 5 devices are expected to bring about a shift towards 240x320 pixels. The quality, however, is uncompromised. The TFT display features snow-white, sufficiently intensive backlight and clear and faithful colour reproduction."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20060331-TechFaithSmartphone.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />The RAZR sure has inspired a lot of new designs. Too bad this copy doesn't look like a winner. The phone is running Windows Mobile 5 but only has a 176x220 screen and a really small - in size, screen. :( On the plus side, it's only an early prototype from a manufacturer called <a href="http://www.techfaithwireless.com/english/services_1_5_2.htm">TechFaithWireless.</a> The specs on that webpage are more than a little wrong too. I hope this shows that things are still getting hammered out.

Jerry...I think you have a love/hate relationship with the Q! Maybe even a fatal attraction! 8O 8)

Yeah, I was actually starting to pick up on that myself. :-)

But anyway, I think this phone could be a good idea. Sure the screen is small, but that allows the device itself to be small, too. More people might spring for smartphones if they're smaller and this looks like a great step in that direction.

It looks too much like the SLVR. The screen size isn't so bad actually - it is a phone primarily, afterall -- but there is no reason to compromise the resolution.

With an item like the SP5 and 2125 and Moto releasing the Q in 2010 or so :) this has no where to go.

I think it's been pushed back to 2015 now.

Are you sure? That may be the GSM model; I'm talking about the TDMA model :rotfl:

But the device isn't that small. It's just the screen. Check out this picture (http://www.pdagold.com/articles/image.asp?i=5243) :(

and another thing, what is with this RAZR fetish that a lot of phone makers seem to have? Enough already!

Oh eww. Well, that puts it in perspective, doesn't it? :? And I have to say, the thought of a screen like that isn't appealing. That's my favorite thing about my new SMT5600...the screen. It's so big and sharp and clear. I wouldn't want to go back down. :(

Agreed. My brother has a RAZR and I don't really even like the keypad. :?
