Huh, I think it looks big and ugly. I'll stick with my Bluespoon AX for no thanks.

:D

I'm happy with my Jabra over this as well.

Jerry, maybe they'll sell it in mauve to match your RAZR and SLVR!

Alright you guys. I was in the store. I was looking for and bought the new Jabra JX10, when I saw this thing hanging from a hook. I was in shock. So I had to post. BTW it didn't seem to come in mauve. :)

I like that the blue LED can be turned off.

I am sure my current headset while driving at night time, might give an impression to the passing non-geeky motorists that I am some alien with flashing ears and I am communicating with my fellow aliens.

If Moto Q doesn't have more than 50 problems at launch, I will buy one. :-)

Jerry, how is the JX10, btw? I have the Jabra 500, which has great sound... and would be curious how the jx10 compares.

I've only used it a couple times but so far I am impressed. I had the BT800 which I wasn't too crazy about. The JX10 is much smaller and lighter. I still have my 250v. The JX10 seems louder. I almost got the 500 too but I am running out of ears.

When I drive with my head set at night--- I'm constantly in a state of panic - My peripherial vision picks up the blue flash and, I think the COPS are flashing their blue lights at me - should I pull over.

I think the flashing blue light is one of the coolest aspects of headsets. I wish the light was brighter in fact.

Ha! Yep, I know what that's like. For my first cell phone (a Moto v66) I got a red and blue flashing antenna. Whenever it would go off in the car at night, I'd be surrounded by red and blue flashing. It spooked me each and every time.

Could this be why the Q might never see the light of day?

Care to take a bet on that? I know - no fair, I work for Moto. But if you're going to constantly harsh on us maybe you should put your money where your mouth is.

Oh, come off it. It's a big company, and we do a lot of things. Our Bluetooth accessories happen to be very popular, too.

On topic: after realizing that I only ever used my Bluetooth headset in the car, I bought myself a Bluetooth speakerphone. It's even easier to use and doesn't interfere with earmuffs in the winter :)

I don't bet, I don't even like Las Vegas. Just because Motorola is big doesn't make them great. They have huge quality problems. I gave away both of my Moto BT headsets. If you want to bet I would bet I have owned more motorola handsets over the last 15 years than you have even heard of. I have watched the quality go from excellent to poor.

Your company has quality problems, period. Ask anyone here who has gone through 3 MPx220's like I had to. They should look into commodes.

When they actually deliver a Smartphone that works. I'll be the first to praise them right here. Until then, they are an easy target.

A what? Bluetooth speakerphone? I'm not following. My phone has a speakerphone and it works pretty good, but it doesn't need Bluetooth to operate. Is this some sort of speaker/mic combo that connects to a cell phone over bluetooth and acts as a speakerphone for phones that don't have that feature? If so, does it offer high volume, and better quality?

Mike

Perhaps he has what my Bimmer has. Builtin Bluetooth support.

I plug my phone into the power, pair it with the car, then the car speakers and a mic in the liner over the mirror do all the work seamlessly.

I can see the caller on my digital dash and radio displays and I can select who to call by voice or using the steering wheel button (as well as answer from steering wheel).

But then, he might also have the Moto BT car kit ( http://motorola.car-kit.com/technologies/motorola.asp )
