That's a great deal! The problem though is that the card only has a 90-day warranty on it. In a world where companies such as Kingston offer lifetime warranties, a 90-day warranty on a Flash memory card screams "Low-end Flash parts prone to failure" to me.

The closest comparison I could find in the Thoughts Media Pricegrabber Store was a Transcend 4GB card for $210. I was tempted to get one of these, but that 90 day warranty is scaring me off, as is the fact that I've never heard of that brand name before. Anyone feeling brave? ;-)

I wouldn't touch it. I've had enough SanDisc failures and they are well known!

No AData makes these. AData is evil - their cards corrupt right about the 91st day!

Sorry if I gave that impression. I was just pointing out that if a well known brand can be horrendous a lesser known one with virtually NO guarantee could be worse.

You guys are getting me worried!

I bought a 2Gig AData for my ETEN M600 about 3 months ago. No problems so far, but now I'm thinking I better start backing it up just in case.

If it was carved on a stone tablet I'd back it up!

newegg.com is showing this same card available for $166.81. And their page says it has a lifetime manufacturer's warranty.

For $0.82 more, that sounds like a better deal to me. ;)

I agree with Jerry. I had nothing but problems from AData products. You get what you pay for.

I do like Newegg, and you'll probably get your money back - hope you get all your data back as well. But, I suspect the warranty is by AData, not newegg, unless DOA. Read that fineprint and get ready for a slow response.

Mike, maybe these folks will buy your Yugo!
