The new devices will support cellular technologies CDMA and WCDMA, in addition to Wi-Fi standards 802.11g or 802.11a/g. Demand for combined cellular and Wi-Fi handsets has increased, as more mobile phones start to deliver voice, voice over Internet Protocol, data, music and even television."</i><br /><br />It looks like the appeal of WiFi on your device is growing despite the carriers desires to shut it down. This latest chip from Atheros aims to bring WiFi (a/b/g) to CDMA based devices. With any luck, Verizon won't cripple these devices too. ;)
