I use the word "snapshot" deliberately because the plans have probably already changed. Every once in a while I call my carrier (Cingular) to see what's new plan wise. Occasionally a better plan has popped up that I can take advantage of.

Cool idea, but you're right. Things change too quickly. I will occasionaly check the different packages available at my carrier, but I haven't found anything worth switching too since I signed up 4+ years ago.
