There is a trial version available for you to test with your phone before buying. If you've tested the others and haven't had much luck, you might want to give this one a try! Just a little aside, you'll need the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 installed on your device. There are links for this on the product page.

Does this mean you should be able to use this to listen to Audible on your BT headset? That would be awesome!

Anyone tried this yet?

I don't know how people think they can charge for a simple program such as this. If you want a WM2003 version, that works on the Audiovox SMT5600 and variants, I have written BlueTUNES (not BlueCAST), which is FREE and OPEN SOURCE.

It would be great if your BlueTUNES worked with WM5.0. Your little program is raved about for SMT5600 users on Modaco. My 2125 is a wonderful upgrade from my SMT5600 in most aspects. Having to use a cord again to listen to books or music is really quite the bummer though.

I would pay for the convenience of leaving the cord at home!

I was about to reply that I can do this without the app....but just remembered I'm using a PPC now (JAMin as of this week).

Which raises the question....why didn't Microsoft give the same functionality to the Smartphone as they did the PPC?

The .Net framework installation keeps failing on my 2125 because of lack of resources.

Does anyone know if there's a way to adjust the allocation of memory between storage and application space on these 2125's?

Thanks,

Dan.

Nope.

Clear out the cache in IE that should free up enough space.

Hi Mike,

This is really strange... My 2125 has twice the amount of RAM that my 5600 had but I can't get to it because half of the 64MB is mapped to Program memory.

So there are no utilities or hacks I can buy, which will allow me to adjust the ratio of RAM allocation?

Thanks,

Dan.

Couple of thoughts: First, I had the same problem getting .NET Framework 2.0 to install -- not enough memory available. I unloaded a couple of apps, then tried copying the .cab file from the pc subfolder it's sitting in after installing the framework redistributable on the pc to the 1 gig mini-SD card in my 2125. Installed the .cab from there without any further problem, then re-installed the two apps I'd lost. (I don't know that that uninstall was really necessary.)

As to BlueCast, while I certainly would rather pay nothing than 10 bucks, it has worked absolutely flawlessly. I love listening to podcasts on the 2125, as I did on my SMT5600, but I've always hated the wires. BlueCast is working perfectly with my Plantronics bluetooth headset and I feel like I finally have exactly the setup I've wanted for a long time.

I purchased BlueCast--it works great. On my 2125 I loaded the .net Framework to my 1G storage card (I figured it couldn't hurt to try). Loaded BlueCast (tiny program) to main memory.

I LOVE THIS PROGRAM! OK--only used it so far for Audible books so I'm guessing that listening to music through my Plantronics BT headphones will be awful but for listening to voice through BT headset works good.

WHY didn't microsoft add this type of support to WM5 from the beginning???

Flaws--once you turn the BlueCast on it is ON. The connection from your headset to your phone is constant until you shut it back off. Thus if you start listening to something, and shut down the audio w/o shuting down BlueCast the connection still stays and your headset's battery continues to plummet until you remember the connection is still going.

For those who used their PPC or SMT5600 with bluetooth this is a cheap fix to stop griping at MS for a while and lose the wires.
