I know it is much more fun to bash Moto and there is a lot of material.....

But, after reading the news release, this decision makes some sense. I don't think it is in Moto's best interest to tie itself exclusively to Apple. The story notes that the Moto WMA phones won't have the 100 tunes limitations of the ROKR and that alone ought to drive sales if some folks didn't go all gaga for anything with a lower case "i" in front of it.

I knew Jerry's love of DRM would get this posted! I'm with you, what the heck you need Music on your cellphone for? From the looks of the driving public here in San Francisco I would guess they are driving listening to it while doing their makeup and eating a bagel. :roll:

&lt;edit> hmm on second thought it might be Jerry's love of Moto that drove this. :)
