The latency has always seemed high when opening a web page (Connecting / Locating / Opening) on my Smartphones. I am sure this has been posted before but seems to make a noticeable difference for browsing, and SMS triggered message retrieval seems more solid too. Giving credit where credit is due, I fond this over on the Treo 700w BB at TreoCentral.
Here is the hack:
Localmachine\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\7C4B7A38*\Connections\Broadband\Always On (change Always On Dword to "1")
And the best part is there has been NO difference in my battery usage with the hack.
