For those of you, who have access to the emulator; check out Nino's post on how to configure Internet connectivity.

Works fine with the standalone Device Emulator Community Preview!
1. Install the Virtual Machine Network Driver.
2. Start emulator with an image with no saved state or do a hard reset.
3. File > Configure... > Network tab. Check [x] Enable NE2000 PCMCIA...
Make sure the the field below shows it bound to a valid network card. My kept binding to a loopback adapter I had installed so I had to remove the loopback first. Click OK.
4. In the emulator, you may see the antenna icon at top. Click it and it'll ask you if the network card connects to the Internet. Click Connect.
5. Surf away! I didn't even have to specify an ip address (probably got an IP from my DHCP server).
NOTE: The Device Emulator Preview only comes with WM2003 images but you can use it with the WM5 images. Bypass the vs2005 requirement of the WM5 images installer by extracting the WM5 images with "msiexec /a" and run the emulator from the commandline.

Cool workaround. You mean to extract the images from the WM5.0 SDK Installer?

Right. If you need the english images, extract them from the WM5 SDK installer. Else, extract them from the localized images installers.
This trick has helped some people run the TomTom GPS software, normally a pocketpc-only app, on a laptop at 800x600.
