Has anyone figured out how to set the theme colors in the xml file so that you get exactly the basehue registry value you want? This can of course be set with a registry editor but if you soft-reset your device wm5 will change it to the value it calculates from your background image and the traygradleft color setting.

Is it possible to define a registry value inside the xml file?

(I don't assume this post will get many or any answers :D )

So, you're saying that the colour value you set in the XML file is not the same value that is set in the registry? Seems odd that it would be different, and even more odd that it would change once the device is soft reset.

First, I don't think that you can set a reg value from the XML. However, some home screens come in a CAB or HME format. Maybe these formats have something to do with editing that value.

Another thing to consider, while your device may be labeled as 64,000 colours, the OS doesn't actually support that colour depth. Now, I can't remember the actual colour depth, but I'm wondering if you're forcing a colour that isn't in supported, and thus it's reset with the phone.

It is true - I've researched it extensively. Read more about it at my blog: http://juni00.blogspot.com
