The other appears to be a way to store data online though if you are using exchange I don't see why you would need it. However, take a look at their Privacy Statement. Personally I don't like it. I'll let you read it for yourselves if you are interested in this. I get suspicious whenever I see the words "collecting" and "sharing" too many times in a Privacy Statement. In other words, buyer or in this case user, beware.

I am not too happy about the branding and logo on their site. :? Why are they using Windows Mobile logo? This is not a Microsoft site or Microsoft sponsored site. Among the many things I didn't like, why is the Windows Mobile logo at top linking the page to the Microsoft site? Usually it is supposed to take you to the home page of that specific site, not a third party site. :?

And doesn't look like they are using HTTPS.

Yeah the whole thing seems shady to me.

At the very top of that site, above all the MS-imposter stuff:

CONFIDENTIAL, NOT FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY. DEMO SITE ONLY.

If it's publicly available on the Internet, they're not doing a very good job of keeping it confidential.

And I try to avoid websites whose urls resemble a phone number in any way. That just reeks of cheesy advertising to me.

Yes, something is decidely odd about this enterprise...

I wouldnt be surprised if it was some kinda intelligence gathering operation. How ideal it would be to have everyone send you their most personal records, and have it all on tap....

As an FYI regarding 1800message.com - we're sorry it looks shady to you. Motoblast, LLC is my company (operator of 1800message.com) and I was a Microsoft employee from 1993 to 1999. The software was written for Microsoft and that is why the logos on the homescreen lead you to Microsoft sites - at their request. The privacy policy states that the only data that is used is to generate the Google ad text on the site. We have no plans to release any private information about any of our users. We also wrote the RSSHome site - again for Microsoft. These are free services to help promote the Windows Mobile platform. If you have specific questions, please email [email protected]

Thanks - Greg Carpenter

Now that the maker, Greg Carpenter, has responded to this thread, is everyone satisfied that 1800message.com and PMRecorder are good, good guys and no longer 'suspect?'
If anyone has installed PMRecorder on their 2125, how does it work?
Do you have to store your calls on their server or can you choose to keep them on your phone and not send them to the server?

You can store the calls on your phone without sending them to the server. Just set the Auto-Archive setting to be unchecked. The recording app works great on the 2125. You can have the recorded calls save to the \Storage Card (which the app does as the default if a card is installed), then listen to the calls via Menu -> List Calls

When I installed PMRecorder on my 2125, my cingular home screen changed to a washed out screen. The other home screens look OK but my cingular home screen looks washed out.
Anyone have a similar problem?
