It was lacking in some features but it was so well made and came with and extra battery and a charging stand! I miss it. While I'm not a huge fan of hard drives in phones I think Samsung has a winner on its hands here. Other phone makers should take a lesson from them. Another <a href="http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=235028&view=getnewpost+">MoDaCo post</a> talks about some issues and confusion with the two i300 models. I hope these things work themselves out.

I figured the phone would be heavy due to the hard drive.
But when converted from 121 grams it weighs in at 4.268149866382218 ounces, maybe I should round it off?

Any word on an improved battery life with the larger hard disk? After all, that is the biggest drawback of this device.

i wonder why they just didnt put some of that nifty flash media in there that the nano uses... which samsung just happens to develope... you figure that would be inexpensive for them since they freaking made it... maybe im the only one that is confused by this ;) :lol:

Nah, you're not alone. I don't understand why someone doesn't build a Smartphone with a large removeable flash memory for media. Put 2 slots on the device, one under the battery for programs and what not - and the other with external access for music and copying files, etc...

The battery life would be grand and just think of how easy it would be to load stuff on your device. :D

They don't have any choice. They sold all the flash memory to Apple. The only thing they have is the hard drives. :rotfl:

Samsung i300x….tried searching to get some reviews for it…and came across http://www.inods.com it’s giving some good info about it!!!See if it interest U!!…this model comes with bigger hard drive capacity and a newer OS version of Microsoft Windows Mobile…i.e it has Windows Mobile 5.0 OS….it also has great multimedia features with excellent music playback options….all together it’s a good mobile!!!...but what about the battery life????

This thing is going to get pummelled by the Sony Ericsson W950 - also a smart phone, it runs Symbian, is thin and uses flash. Why they'd bother to do anything less than 5GB or 6GB with a hard drive is beyond me.
