I used it years ago when it first came out. Here is a client for the Smartphone. There was so little written about it I'll leave the French to English translation to you if you need it. If anyone tries this post what you think. If you want to cut to the chase you can download it here.

Really?! Well, that sucks. Oh well, it's not like I use ICQ anymore. So I'm not missing out on anything.

Oh i wish more people used ICQ. it's great. The feature i most love is the ability to send people a message when they are not online, and have it appear when the next logon. of course i hate the your buddy list is on the client, and not on ICQ servers.

ahh well i use trillian now and when logs me onto MSN, ICQ, GTalk, and Yahoo at the same time, which is a saviour. ahhhh.

The ofline messege feature is also available in Yahoo mesenger.

I don't see much use of IM on a phone, with a standard phone kypad it would be a very frustrating experience to have an IM session.

Ok, I just noticed what commander66 really said. I thought it was "it only works on Pocket PC". So, disregard my comments. I must have been half asleep or something.

Agile has a Windows Mobile version - but I don't know if it's WinMo5 compatible yet.

hello.. hmm i tried to get the program you linked in the original post, however.. it doesn't seem to be working at the moment. and as it's in a foreign language, i'm not sure what it says.. does anyone know if there's any chance of this coming back up? :(

also..does using this program use SMS? i am going to assume not, but i have to ask since it's the most important criteria for me :P my tmobile dash has ICQ built in but it uses text messages .. badbad especially since i pay for internet.

thanks in advance!

WOW! sorry for resurrecting this thread. i saw the January 13, 2006 and i thought that meant the post was from yesterday! it completely slipped my mind that we are in 2007 :P
anyways.. i guess i'm looking for a ICQ program that's free, that doesn't use SMS.. can anyone help me here? :)
