How many of you unplug your mobile phones/pda's etc. from your vehicles power outlet before you shut the vehicle down and then don't replug them back until after you have started your vehicle?
I am pretty anal about unplugging everything so that the next time I start up the engine, the stuff isn't plugged in. Why? Possible spikes on the +12V when cranking the engine. Has anyone ever destroyed anything because it was plugged into the power outlet when you cranked the vehicle?

I'm not too paticular about it. However, I don't tend to plug devices in the car too much. I used to with my older phones, but Since the 5600 came along with the awesome battery life, I haven't really had the need.

I rarely plug in the car either.
