The recordings stack up and gradually drop off after the expiration date because I hate not being able to skip to the end of 30 seconds of um, yeah, I just called, to say, um, can you call me back, um talk to you later..." If I see your number in my missed calls, I'll assume you called for a reason, call back and get the details in less time than it takes to dial. Contrast this with my Vonage service, which takes messages and emails them to my inbox. I love getting voicemail in my inbox. I can listen. When I realize there's nothing important beyond, call me back, I'll call back. Every once in awhile, I'll get a meaningful message providing details and the service pays off, but the email option puts me in control. Today, I saw a new service featured on Download Squad that does exactly this for any voicemail account. GotVoice is configurable to turn any voicemail service into an email deliverable or via their online interface."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/kris-dec05-gotvoice.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br /><a href="http://www.gotvoice.com/">GotVoice</a> is FREE for personal use. I was able to sign-up and check my cell phone voicemail messages on the Web in less than five minutes. 8) If you operate a business and get tons of voicemails or are simply looking for a better way to manage your voicemails, then this service is for you. Definitely worth checking out. :)

It sounds like a nice system, but it would be better if it could check your voice mail on a more frequent time frame. 9/12/2 is good, but I wouldn't mind paying a little something to up that to every 1.5 hours or so.

I just signed up my cell phone but it says pending.
My work number does not work, I get an error. So I just removed it.

Did anybody get this to work on their smartphones (model and carrier)?

Thanks,

i can so see this service being abused. you know how many people use 1111 as their phone pin or their birthday or something like that. basically now you can spy easier

You are right. Wow. I didn't even think about this flaw. Now that look back, GotVoice did not send me an SMS message with authorization key to confirm that the cell phone number is mine. :?

Glad that I have a unique PIN on my account. 8)

I signed up my T-Mobile account. The model should not matter. (BTW it is i-mate SP3i)

Mine was also pending for 5-10 minutes. And soon after that I received a welcome voicemail on my cell phone.
