HI , this is my first Post!

I have a some questions , I've purchased my first smartphone 2 weeks ago (SMT5600) . The Phone has Pocket MSN installed but I only get to Sync with Hotmail (get new meesages automatically) if i'm signed in in msn messenger, I dont want to be on msn messenger 24/7 on my phone just to get the email alerts, I've email this issue to Msn mobile but no response yet.

Also I would like to know if is it possible to read html email on POcket Oulook for this phone and if the answer is no, I would like to know if the new ersion of Windows Mobile 5 and Office Mobile will do that.

Im still in the 30 days return period, I was thinking to exchange it for the new Cingular 2125 just for the Edge speed, you think I will notice a change in speed on Web surfing or connecting the Phone as a modem/laptop?

Thanks!

You can try HTTPMail Provider, (http://www.smartphone.net/smartphonethoughts/software_detail.asp?id=950) it adds the Hotmail link to Pocket Outlook, along with the ones for Text Messages, Outlook, MMS and other POP3/IMAP accounts. :-) [Affiliate] It can be a nice alternative to the Pocket MSN.

Sorry, there is no support for HTML mail. None from Microsoft, none from third-party app writers.

EDGE will definitely offer noticeable speed difference. 3-4 times that of the GPRS. Average of 100-145Kbps compared to the GPRS speed of 25-45Kbps.

Also if you are in the 30 day period, and can get the 2125 for little or no-extra charge. I would recommend it. Because 2125 has newer Windows Mobile OS. BETTER screen. You will love it. The only annoyance is the hump that everyone in our forum is talking about. ;-) But it is not that bad. Overall I would describe this new Smartphone as :rock on dude!:

Also, WinMo5 has a Pocket MSN built in. So you don't need any third party tools to get your hotmail on your device.

in my smt5600 I cannot get Pocket MSN to send me alerts of the new hotmail if Im not signed in msn messenger, If I do sign in , the alerts are in real time, if im signed of msn messenger i have to go and hit send and receive to get mail, not good, even signed into Pocket MSN that "its in Sync" woth the servers.

Httmail Porvider seems the solution

ive found http://mobile.msn.com to be better than PocketMSN and its free :)

on my msn mobile i now have links to microsoft live mail and hotmail (web version) which are both pretty decent. also you get other stuff like money and msn spaces and all that jive
