This is a great phone but ActiveSync 4 seems to creep along - it took 1hr 40 mins to do the initial load of 2800 contacts. All other information - mail, tasks and calendar - are from Lotus Notes(!!) and are kept uptodate on my device thru' CommonTime's mSuite.
Following the initial Contact sync I tried to resync to get a Contact update from the phone to the PC and ActiveSync stopped with an error
I wondered if anyone else out there has the same device and is experiencing similar problems with ActiveSync4.
I am told ActiveSync 4.1 will be released on 11/18, is there a known list of bugs that is fixed that I can get a copy of?
The Word, Excel and PowerPoint Mobile work really well

This is a Smartphone forum and your question is best asked on PocketPCThoughts.
That said...I recenty has a KJAM for a short time and the initial load is indeed slow. 4.1 is available thru certai channels. You can find a copy in the PPC forum on HowardForums. It is a bit more stable but not by much.
I can say the initial sync is the only slow one. Every other time is normal.

they all fall under the definition of smart phones, but microsoft has Smartphone running the Smartphone OS and PPCs running the PPC OS.

We tend to go by - if it runs Windows Mobile and has a touch screen, it's a Pocket PC Phone Edition. Otherwise it's a Smartphone. I imagine that in a couple of years, it will just be Windows Mobile for everything. However, there are still some differences between the two platforms. :?

Sorry, I was typing from my phone before and I was getting tired of typing Smartphone since it's not in my word list. (Which I can add my using the T9 utility on the SP5m, by the way) :)
Too many other companies use the term Smartphone to describe their phones. I think MS tried to fight it before but they cant hold any rights to the term "smart phone", only "Smartphone". They are all Smartphones....It's just that the MS Smartphone is the SMARTEST! :)
