View Full Version : SMT5600 stuck in flight mode - can't hard reset!

The SMT5600 locked up tonight. I couldn't even power down so I took out the battery. Big mistake. When I powered it up it was in flight mode. Pressing 2 doesn't get it out of flight mode. Bluetooth is off but I can't even change Bluetooth modes - the error message says "The settings could not be saved." When I try a hard reset ("clear storage" in accessories), the error message is "Access denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate." 8O

Is there any other way of reseting the device?

I would try another reboot or two before I do a hard reset.

Anyway, follow the steps in this post (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=60566#60566) to do a hard reset from the hardware.

Got it! I found the hard reset instructions at http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=198362. I may have lost everything but better that than having a smartbrick instead of smartphone.
