This phone is rumored to be the HTC Breeze and it looks to have EDGE, Quadband, 320x240 QVGA, Bluetooth, a forward facing CIF Video camera, a 1.3 MegaPixels camera, a TI OMAP 850 processor, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM. Overall, I would say the specs look a lot nicer than this picture of the phone.

:)

First of all that is the FUGLIEST handset I've seen in a lonnnnng time.
Second... did it say WM 2k5.

I'd have to scrounge up a lil brown paperbag to hide that bad boy in. But I will get it if it is the first UMTS WM 2k5 handset. But I won't like it. :?

What US carriers are planning to or have deployed UMTS?

Cingular are planning a UMTS (well, the higher speed version of it), but it won't be compatible with the UMTS networks in Europe.

Europe is using the 2100Mhz frequency band and Cingular are using both of their existing GSM bands for their 3G service.

And I agree, this is one ugly phone.

Isn't EDGE the CDMA data network, different from UMTS which is 3G based?

I only mention this since the article says UMTS, but the description of the phone says EDGE.
