The world’s No. 2 cell phone maker said profit excluding special items rose to $764 million, or $0.30 per share, from $426 million, or $0.18 per share, a year ago. Analysts had expected earnings of $0.28 per share, according to a survey of 34 estimates surveyed by Thomson Financial."

It is funny to me that the one phone carrying the day for Moto is the RAZR which is basically a StarTac with a new suit. Other than a color screen and a pretty face it has nothing new. It is a decent phone and it should be. They have had 10 years to get it right. Now how about making a Smartphone that doesn't stink Moto!
