Remember messing around trying to get serial and parallel ports to work not to mention the high voltage sized cables required? Ok I digress but now here comes wireless USB. Could this be the death of Bluetooth?

If they do it as 'foolproof' as wired USB is, I'd say so. I don't think of USB as God's gift to PCs. I get disconnects, things just quite working now and again, heaven forbid you don't install the drivers in the order the instructions suggest, if they aren't already delivered with Windows, but overall, USB is pretty painless. BT on the other hand, though I have little problems with it once set up, is such a pain to get going sometimes, it frustrates the average consumer. The Profiles are the biggest headache IMHO. If wireless USB doesn't make the consumer care what kind of traffic is on the wire he is replacing, BT is in trouble.

oh, man is that the truth! Bluetooth is great when it works, but it can be such a pain at times. The best expereince I have had to date is on my iPAQ 4150. Everything else, including my laptop has been nothing short of painful.
